Mandarin ducks are an introduced species to the UK, with the males sporting ornate plumage - they have distinctive long orange feathers on the side of the face, orange 'sails' on the back, and pale orange flanks. They nest in holes in trees, up to 10m off the ground!
Also they (generally) have two legs, but this one spotted by nick_de_cent_wildlife didn't want you to know that!
