These are difficult and unsettling times for all of us. We know that nature can be a powerful force for good in difficult circumstances. As many of you have told us, it can lift our spirits, educate us, inspire us, and provide a space for us to exercise and enjoy fresh air. We’re trying our best to keep as many of our nature reserves open for as long as possible and, with no car parking charges, we hope that visitors will continue to enjoy these amazing places for wildlife while observing government guidelines on physical distancing. Following the latest government advice we have made the difficult decision to close all our visitor centres, cafes and shops. This is to prioritise the health and welfare of our staff, volunteers, supporters and members of the public. Over the coming days and weeks, we will be helping people to share their wildlife encounters and provide ideas for things you can do for wildlife close to home.
