Mexican-American designer Willy Chavarria, well-known for using his fashion shows to uplift the Latiné community, recently went on WWD’s “Savage Fashion” podcast and discussed his Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week as well as an upcoming documentary he’s working on with Paola Ramos.
“The positivity is what resonates. Even in the show, I made a very strong statement about what’s happening in the United States, but ultimately, the message is very positive,” Chavarria told WWD. “This is just about how we endure this, and it’s joy that will bring us through this. It’s joy as a form of endurance and a form of resistance in a way.”
