Everybody loves Snoopy, but not everyone is familiar with the Mexican-born animator that brought him and the rest of the “Peanuts” to life. José Cuauhtémoc Meléndez, better known as Bill Melendez, was a key figure in the world of animation, working on beloved Disney classics like “Bambi” and “Pinocchio” and animating Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig.
