Welcome to day 24 of our #25DaysofPhotographers advent calendar! Today, Ben Oakes (ben_oakes_) talks about how he first got into nature photography. "Whilst at college I was always interested in photographing the landscape but never took the time to look at what was living in it. It wasn't until I was offered the chance to use a telephoto lens that I had a chance to see and record what was living within the area, peaking an interest mainly in birds. The photograph was taken at an old mine stack on the coast path near Kenidjack where the kestrel along with another were preening in the sunshine. I think this will be a great starting point on a passion that will get me outdoors!" #wildlife #nature #25DaysofPhotographers #wildlifephotography #December #Advent #Christmas #outdoors #winter #RSPB #photography #AdventCalendar #BirdsofInstagram #kestrel #ChristmasEve
