Welcome to day 12 of our #25DaysofPhotographers Advent calendar! Today's post is from Lucy Hodson, (lucy_lapwing) who talks about her time volunteering and exploring a variety of nature reserves! "After studying Wildlife Conservation at Uni, I worked for a year at RSPB Coombes Valley nature reserve. At the end of that year I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. To keep positive and busy, I spent as much time outdoors as possible; volunteering and exploring every nature reserve within my reach. My wildlife knowledge skyrocketed and I picked up my camera to start photographing and documenting it on Instagram. I find it the most therapeutic thing; visiting a wild spot and just seeing what I can spot, I.D. and photograph, be it birds, bugs or fungi. I don’t use any expensive equipment and I’d encourage everyone to give it a go!"
