Many Latinas from all over Latin America and the U.S. will be competing, and as of Tuesday, Mexican actress Salma Hayek (@salmahayek) was chosen to be a torchbearer in the Olympic Torch Relay. The “Frida” actress walked with the torch through the Palace of Versailles and passed it on, and she opened up about her pride in being part of the event in an Instagram post: “I had the honor of carrying the Olympic flame, a symbol of light, hope, peace, and unity.
