Los Bukis were just honored with their own star on the Hollywood Star of Fame in a ceremony on July 23. The legendary Mexican group, currently composed of Marco Antonio Solís, Joel Solís, Jose Javier Solís, Roberto Guadarrama, Pedro Sánchez, José “Pepe” Guadarrama, and Eusebio “Chivo” Cortez, was originally created in 1971. At the ceremony, lead singer Solís dedicated the group’s star to immigrants and spoke on the fear and anxiety felt in L.A.’s immigrant communities: “In these times of adversity, we want to dedicate a few words to you ... we are with you. Our hearts go out to all the people suffering from all these adversities.
