In the episode, Suzette discussed the 1997 “Selena” biopic and the criticism her family received, revealing that the only reason the movie was made was because the Quintanilla family was pressured by Hollywood to make the movie:
“We were forced to make the movie,” Suzette said. “Literally months after she died, our lawyers got word… Hollywood was already gonna start making, they wanna do a movie, and if you don’t have control over your own, then it’s gonna be whatever they wanna put in it…”
