My abuela is a woman who left Venezuela to protect her family and to build a life from scratch in a new country.
She didn’t speak the language. She didn’t have a safety net. But she had love, and somehow, she never let that go. Even while caring for me as a disabled child, she held onto joy and she showed me what unshakable love looks like. My abuelita passed that love down like a family heirloom.
Latinos give up everything to give our families a better life.. Latino love is sacred. 🫶✨
