Growing up, queer Latinxs have been inundated by countless comments from familia, and even the community, on how to be, how to act, and what are acceptable ways to exist as a queer person. Whether it’s the constant dismissal of identity or reminders of where gender lines are drawn, these comments can follow queer Latinxs into adulthood, making it hard to unlearn.
