The Supreme Court just gave the Trump admin the green light to end Temporary Protected Status for over 350,000 Venezuelan migrants in the U.S., putting them at risk of deportation, on Monday. While the high court announced that it would allow Trump to end TPS for Venezuelans, they suggested that Venezuelans who received documentation of their legal status before the program’s termination could sue to challenge their deportations. Ahilan Arulanantham, who represented the Venezuelans involved in the case, criticized the move in a statement from UCLA Law: “This is the largest single action stripping any group of non-citizens of immigration status in modern U.S. history,” Arulanantham said. “That the Supreme Court authorized it in a two-paragraph order with no reasoning is truly shocking. The humanitarian and economic impact of the Court’s decision will be felt immediately and will reverberate for generations.” #SupremeCourt #TPSVenezuela #TPSVenezolanos #TemporaryProtectedStatus #Venezu...
