Feliz Cumpleaños, Pedro Pascal! Born Jose Pedro Balmaceda Pascal on this day in 1975 in Santiago, Chile, the 50-year-old actor moved to the United States from Chile at just 9 months old. His career began when he pursued acting at the Orange County School of the Arts and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1997. His breakout role came when he played Oberyn Martell in HBO's "Game of Thrones” and gained further acclaim portraying Javier Peña in Netflix's "Narcos". Since then he’s landed lead roles on television in Disney+'s "The Mandalorian" and currently as Joel Miller in HBO's adaptation of "The Last of Us”. The latter earned him a SAG award for Male Actor in a Drama Series—the first Latino to win in the category.
