Newcomer Tatianna Córdoba, who is Latina and Filipina, and actress Justina Machado, who is of Puerto Rican descent, will be taking on the roles of mother and daughter, Ana and Carmen Garcia in “Real Women Have Curves: The Musical”. The musical is making waves as Broadway’s first Latinx show in ten years since On Your Feet! in 2015. Machado had previously starred in the play as Ana early in her career in Chicago and played Carmen in the musical’s American Repertory Theater run.
