Peruvian artist Sara Flores of the Shipibo-Conibo nation is showing the world the talent of Indigenous artists with her collaboration with fashion house Dior. Kené— a Shipibo term meaning “design— is an ancestral art form used by Flores characterized by complex labyrinths and geometric designs representing Peru’s ecological networks. Along with 10 other artists, Flores reinterpreted the classic “Lady Dior” bag—designing two in a mini and medium format.
