She got her start in film at age 18, playing a small role in the 1949 film “Bamba.”Throughout her career of over 60 years, Pinel was a breakout star during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema, appearing in films like “Viridiana,” “The Exterminating Angel,” and “Simon of the Desert.”
