Real Women Have Curves is headed to Broadway! ❤️‍🔥 The 2000 play, written by playwright Josefina Lopez, is a beloved story focusing on being a first-generation Latina, the experiences of immigrants in the U.S., labor exploitation, marianismo, and feminism. “Real Women Have Curves: The Musical,” a musical adaptation of the story, is headed to Broadway in 2025 after its critically acclaimed debut in December at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Latinx talent in the upcoming Broadway show include Colombian theater director and choreographer Sergio Trujillo, Joy Huerta of Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy, and composer and lyricist Benjamin Velez.
