Caring for our mental health helps us and our community heal. This Latinx/e heritage month, we’ve partnered with Dominican American visual artist Stephanie Vidal (@vivid.vidal) whose bold and vibrant art celebrates Latindad with tropical imagery. In this unique design, we’re honoring the importance of how self-care benefits our comunidad. At HipLatina, we’re taking this LHM to not only honor and celebrate our roots, but recognize why destigmatizing mental health matters. We want to take the time to talk about how our community often perpetuates negative beliefs around mental health and why that needs to change. Therapy is not for “locos” and when we heal individually, our community flourishes.
