#AlumniAchievement: Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright James Ijames ’03 has been appointed Associate Professor of Theatre at Columbia University’s Oscar Hammerstein II Center for Theatre Studies. He will join the tenured faculty following a national search led by a faculty committee.⁠ ⁠ Ijames, whose critically acclaimed play Fat Ham won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, brings a celebrated and innovative voice to Columbia’s theatre program. His work has been produced by The Public Theater, Steppenwolf, National Black Theatre, and others across the country.
