McCallum closed out the third quarter with a 52-6 lead, stopping the Travis Rebels from scoring for the whole quarter. On the first possession of the third quarter, the Rebels had brought the Knights to a fourth down when Cooper Hensley attempted to catch a long throw to the end zone. Hensley dropped the football and players from Travis attempted to recover it, but McCallum senior Nash Wagner rushed into the endzone and reached the ball first for a McCallum touchdown to bring the score to 42-6. With five minutes remaining in the quarter, junior Devlin Fitzpatrick ran in a touchdown from the 50-yard line. The Knights made the extra point to give them a 49-6 lead. Although they attempted to score another touchdown after regaining possession with only a minute left on the clock, Travis’s defense brought the Knights to a fourth down. Senior Ben Pitts kicked in a field goal to make the score 52-6. Caption by Elizabeth Nation. Photos by Julia Copas.
