I get its high season but I have been to places in high season before, $1000 for the cheapest motel (not even in Banff) was kind of crazy 😳 And it would have been the most expensive car I’ve ever rented! If I could I would at least plan a year in advance for a better selection and cheaper prices. 2. Mountain climate is unpredictable, but at times I was sweating under one layer! 🥵 The next moment I needed to wear everything at once 🥶 Then in an hour it would be the perfect weather and I was still wet from rain 🥲 3. Thank goodness we were prepared with roadtrip snacks, because if you’re out all day in the park there aren’t a lot of food options, and if they do have food it’s either expensive (at the hotel restaurants) or small cafe fare (small wrapped sandwiches) 4.
