Ecuadorian wrestler Lucía Yépez just made history at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after winning silver in the women’s 53 kg wrestling event earning Ecuador its first-ever medal in wrestling. The 23-year-old, known as “La Tigra,” was born in Mocache, Ecuador. After beating German wrestler Annika Wendle 10-0 in the semi-finals, she took on Japanese wrestler Akari Fujinami on Thursday and placed second in the final. Following her win, Yépez called her mother and told her about the win, saying “I am going to buy you the house of your dreams. You will not have to work anymore, Mami.” #LucíaYépez #LuciaYepez #Ecuador #Ecuadoreña #LatinaPower #Paris2024 #ParisOlympics2024 #Poderosa #ParisOlympics #Olympics2024 #HistoryMade #Wrestler #LatinasInSports #Wrestling #Hlog
