'The History of Sound' director Oliver Hermanus has opened up about the lack of explicit seggs scenes in the film starring Josh O'Connor and Paul Mescal. Speaking to IndieWire on the red carpet, Hermanus said: "There are many different kinds of seggs scenes in the film, one of which is Paul’s character just walking around Josh’s character’s house, his apartment. "I tried to, you know, suggest that queer people, gay people, can have relationships that are more than just hookups. This is about the deeper things. I’m proud of my choice.” The film follows two young men during World War I as they set out to record the lives, voices and music of their American countrymen.
