Miley Cyrus has shared that her mother, Tish, has not always given her the most useful dating advice. “Mom’s always wanted me to stay with the wrong guy ’cause they’re hot,” said the three-time Grammy winner, who was previously married to actor Liam Hemsworth, and also dated singer Cody Simpson and actor Patrick Schwarzenegger. Tish, however, was quick to counter her daughter’s comments. “That was great advice because after so many years, you’re kind of over it and you’re like... in a relationship,” she told The Cut. “At least you get to look at somebody that’s frigging hot!” Reflecting on how her priorities have shifted, Miley spoke about her relationship with musician Maxx Morando. “He treats me really well and respects me,” she said, adding with a laugh: “I had to find someone who treats me with respect and then Mom never really put that on the top three of her must-haves.
