The new French Women’s Chess Champion Yosha Iglesias has opened up about her transition journey.
French chess player Yosha Iglesias recently became the second transgender woman to win a national title.
Iglesias also made history in April 2024, becoming the first transgender Woman International Master.
The 37-year-old recently spoke about her transition journey to Firstpost: “Happiness felt impossible. I was not living, I was surviving day by day […] My real life started when I accepted who I already was and began my transition in 2020. To be finally seen and accepted as a woman; it felt amazing.”
