I’ve learned one of the biggest mistakes you can make is boxing yourself into just one identity. People will tell you to pick a lane; be a teacher, a doctor, a basketball player, a football player, or an artist, a designer or a creator for some examples. But the truth is, you don’t have to limit yourself. The same discipline I use in the gym also helps to push my creativity. The eye I’ve trained as a designer helps how I put outfits together. It’s all connected; every talent you have feeds the others, the same way all of these things help to provide for the most important thing, which is family and relationships. My advice: don’t be afraid to expand. Don’t silence parts of yourself just to fit into one category. If you’re gifted in more than one area, use it. Explore it. Build your own lane with it.
