The Lancers opening drive started with senior Jack Reeves rushing for an 83-yard touchdown on the first offensive play. The Ravens answered with a passing touchdown to tie the game 7-7 in the first quarter, then senior Henry Stiglic returned the following kickoff 80 yards to give SME a 14-7 lead to end the quarter. In the second quarter, the Ravens forced a fumble in the red zone by Reeves, then intercepted a pass from senior Vince Kopp, converting both turnovers into touchdowns to take a 21-14 lead. Sophomore Thomas Vanice responded with a rushing touchdown, though the extra point was missed, before the Ravens added another touchdown before halftime to make it 28-20. Neither team scored in the third quarter. The Lancers will play their game against Topeka Seaman on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at Topeka Seaman High School.
