Not all 🧂 is created equal. Because of the size of their grains, these salts can’t be substituted for one another without making adjustments. For everyday cooking and baking, we use table salt, which dissolves easily and is inexpensive. We save kosher and sea salt for seasoning dishes just before we eat them. If you would still rather cook with kosher or sea salt, this chart gives equivalents for 1 teaspoon of table salt (note that different brands of kosher salt have different volumes).
