August 18, 2025, Chattogram, Anondobazar Damping Station, Bangladesh: At the Chittagong garbage dumping site, a child from a nearby slum is playing with a broken toy atop a pile of discarded shoes. Every day, many children accompany their parents to the dumping site in search of a livelihood. Some collect plastic, bottles, or scrap metal to sell, while others pass the time playing with salvaged broken items. Growing up in such unhygienic conditions puts these children at risk of various diseases, yet they have little access to entertainment.
