I had the pleasure of participating in the @chigayhockey Market Day Classic this past weekend in Chicago, and I’ve never been more proud to be a part of a community that not only loves the game of hockey, but also loves and accepts each other for who we are, unapologetically. This tournament was more than just a couple of hockey games for me. It was the chance to live out a dream I’ve had for so long: to play the game I love while being truly myself, without shame or the weight of wondering if I belong. It was incredible meeting so many amazing people with stories like mine, growing up playing hockey and now connecting with the sport in a space full of love, pride, and zero judgment. Safe to say I’ll be back for many more tournaments, proudly celebrating our shared love for hockey 🏳️‍🌈🏒💕
