14 years ago Maybelle Blaire (AAGPBL player) and I were talking about my goals of wanting to play professional baseball one day with other women like she did - today as we sit back and drink a beer together, we get to talk about how I have now signed in the first Women’s Pro Baseball League wpbl_official since the 40’s. There’s something special when two different generations of women in baseball come together. Maybelle Blaire is a rockin 98 years young and I am 27 years old. I met her when I was 13 years old at baseballforall’s first tournament. We barely had enough girls to fill up a team and needed our little brothers to come play with us. Over the years I’ve realized the two most powerful things we have had in common; how much we love baseball and how passionate we are to make lasting impacts on the game.
