✨ Gold Award Girl Scout Kate Bennett is making her community safer.
Her project, Why You Should Have Naloxone in Your First Aid Kit, tackled the lack of knowledge about the life-saving medication Naloxone. Partnering with Coronado SAFE, Kate shared informative presentations and provided Naloxone to adults and seniors.
Along the way, she discovered the importance of managing her time and breaking tasks into smaller steps, which are skills she’ll carry with her long after her project. 💛
The pinnacle of achievement in Girl Scouting, the Gold Award is earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts who identify a community issue, develop a sustainable, measurable solution, and lead a team to implement it.
