This #LiteracyDay, we celebrate the power of literacy to build a just, creative, and sustainable future. At Bow Seat: Creative Action for Conservation, we see environmental literacy as a foundation for action. Through the Ocean Awareness Contest, we’ve created pathways for young people worldwide to deepen their knowledge, strengthen their voices, and connect personal stories to global change. ✨ The results speak for themselves. From the 2024 Contest survey, 68% of students reported a stronger understanding of climate change, 69% shared a growing desire to express their climate story, and 72% felt more confident using the arts as a tool for advocacy and expression. These numbers show how literacy, when paired with creativity, can ignite a change. 💡 At Bow Seat, we are proud to nurture this growth.
