Surprise Rain. September 30, 2018. Cellphone photo with Lo-Fi Instagram filter. It hasn't rained in months, and the Hurricane Rosa rain wasn't supposed to arrive until Wednesday. A few minutes after taking this photo, it started to rain, hard. I shoved my big camera into the insulated snack bag I'd brought for something else, and continued on my way. Beautiful light filtered through after the rain, followed by a gorgeous, ever-changing sunset. What should have been a 75 minute walk turned in to 2.5 hours.
