Reminder to trust your gut and your nose, don’t be afraid to get your own tools and keep asking questions. I didn’t feel right and I was starting to smell such strong musty smells. The smells were so strong to me, and yet others couldn’t always smell it. I’ve been talking about this a little bit on our instagram stories but sharing here to give a little more info on what we’ve been going through. There were many reasons for this mold growth including improper insulation around a conduit, irrigation system, negative air pressure pulling water vapors, and incorrect flashing. Our home is under warranty and our builder is working with us on proper fixes. We’ve been in a rental for 2 weeks, we’ve been unable to use our kitchen and our appliances for over 2 months now. It’s been hard, we’re so hopeful that it will be fixed by the end of this week and that we never have to deal with it again. #mold #molddamage #newhouse #house #doglover
