Day 1 of running 20 miles everyday for the next 7 days for training for the great world race, 7 Marathon 7 continents in a week. I thought everyday I would share something about one of the locations we will be running. The first marathon takes place at Wolf’s Fang runway, Antarctica on November 15th. It will be my first time I will cross into the Antarctic Circle and set foot on the ‘frozen continent’, a truly incredible opportunity. The runway is situated at 71 Degrees South latitude on the Antarctica continental landmass, directly south of Cape Town. It is a 10.55 km looped course and is operated in the vicinity of the runway and it gives us an opportunity to embrace Antarctica in all its glory. I can't wait.
