Today, on September 11th, we remember Welles Remy Crowther, the man in the red bandana. Welles was a former Boston College lacrosse player and volunteer firefighter who bravely made his way to the 78th floor of the South Tower and saved as many as 18 civilians before the South Tower collapsed. He gave his life to serving others and will always be remembered as one of the best people our school has produced. We remember Welles and the other 2,976 people that lost their lives 24 years ago, and we honor the first responders who showed the same selflessness Welles did. 🦅
