✂️👩🏽🎓 From “no edges” to tight pants, black hair dye and belt buckles, stricter school dress codes are sparking debate across Jamaica.
📚 Just this Monday, Calabar High School locked out at least 34 boys on the first day of school for infractions ranging from missing buttons to hair length. And some all-girls’ schools are taking a hard stance too, banning “edges” along with tight pants and dyed hair.
The Ministry of Education has warned against locking students out, but principals say they are simply enforcing school rules.
