Honestly it breaks my heart now to watch this interview where the reporter asked me about how my season went and instead of saying “it’s been great! I won NCAAs, competed in my first diamond league, and qualified for Worlds!” I said… “long…” and went into how tired I was because I had been competing for such a long time through XC, indoor track, outdoor NCAAs and then an outdoor pro circuit. I had just started training with my new pro team and everything was kicking my butt. And I had been on anti-inflammatories for months to cover up pain in my plantar and hamstring. I was hanging on by a thread.
