Their connection with Craig Wong (craigwong) and his wife, Ivy Lam (ivylammakeup) began in Hong Kong, where Ivy invited Craig to collaborate on a Caribbean-inspired pop-up called Carabana Social Club—a nod to Toronto’s Caribana. “We just clicked,” Ivy recalled. AYLA, meaning “halo of light around the moon,” nods to their serendipitous meeting on Moon Street in Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
