It may be time to touch grass in the town square. Activist Nisha Anand highlights the commons—the shared spaces where people come together, listen, and engage across differences. Town squares, parks, schools, libraries, even the internet—these are all spaces we share. Yet too often, we retreat into silos, only talking to people who already think like us. Embracing the commons isn’t easy. It means engaging with people you disagree with, stepping outside your bubble, and yes—choosing care and connection, even when it’s difficult. You can’t lead a community, a country, or the world if you don’t care about everyone in it. Change for some while ignoring the rest won’t work. Connection and shared humanity aren’t just ideals, they’re the only way forward. #Politics #Democrat #Republican #Inspiration Which “commons” do you use most?
