No, you’re just going to the busiest parts 🇹🇭 So let me show you some amazing places that are off the beaten track!
You’ve probably heard of Chiang mai, and Pai - but have you ever heard of Ban Rak Thai?
This little Chinese / Thai village is on the border with Burma, and part of the Mae Hong Son Loop - a gorgeous road through the north west of Thailand (it also passes through Pai)
There’s wine resorts, tea plantations, amazing Thai / Yunnan fusion food and possibly the best snack selection I’ve seen in SEA. I’d go back for the snacks alone!
How to get there:
✈️ Fly to Mae Hong Son airport from Bangkok & rent a bike, or take a taxi and drive to Ban Rak Thai
🚗 If you’re already north, drive from Pai or Chiang Mai to Ban Rak Thai. We rented bikes, but you can also get a bus from both place to Ban Rak Thai.
