Friends and family of Greg Montgomery have been super supportive of our suicide awareness efforts and wanted to send it back their way. Greg punted for Michigan State back in the day and played his way into the NFL for a nine years with Houston, Detroit and Baltimore where won the Mackey Award (twice) and reached the Pro Bowl. Greg also battled bipolar disorder, which he was diagnosed with as his playing career came to a close and on August 23, 2020 he wound up taking his own life. The second annual golf and tennis outing takes place in Naples 4/28 and 4/29—promoting mental wellness and suicide prevention—and their silent auction has some great items (link in bio), especially for Spartans fans.
