The West Highland Way Diaries: Day 3 This day followed alongside the entirety of Loch Lomond - the largest lake in all of Great Britain. The terrain was rough, with large roots, rocks, and ladders we had to climb. And while we struggled inch by inch on the 19 mile trek, the views became more breathtaking by the second. As we summited the final climb before descending into Beinglas, we were met with our first real taste of the highlands. Large meadows of heather surrounded us, with sprinkles of mossy scree just above. We were met by a lovely camping pod at beinglas_campsite and most importantly, our first showers in days.
