After losing 10 friends to suicide in high school, Maddie Freeman (Bus’24) made it her mission to support youth mental health, and sparked a movement.
As a CU Boulder freshman, she founded NoSo November, a digital wellness nonprofit that helps teens reset their relationship with social media and build healthier tech habits. Since 2020, her initiative has reached over 28,000 students and earned her a spot on Forbes 30 Under 30.
Now the full-time CEO, Maddie is growing NoSo November across North America — one mindful scroll (or lack of scroll) at a time.
