The National Council of Negro Women(NCNW) announced today that Shavon Arline-Bradley has been hired to serve as the organization’s first president and chief executive officer. Rev. Shavon Arline-Bradley is an ordained minister and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She serves as president & chairman of Delta for Women in Action, a 501(c)4 organization, the vice-chair of the NAACP Board of Directors Health Committee, and the immediate past co-chair of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., National Social Action Commission. The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) is a federation of over 330 campus and community-based sections and 32 national women’s organizations. Led by the pioneering efforts of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, who founded the organization in 1935, NCNW has been at the forefront of advocating for and empowering women of African descent, their families, and communities.
