They need to know where it’s safe to sleep, escape loud noises, and avoid anything that makes them feel unsafe. Having separate rooms is *ESSENTIAL*. For the first week, there should be no interaction. I’d let Miso come to the top of the stairs, but I never let her near the kittens. This way, they got used to each other’s scents. Sometimes, I’d bring a toy from the kittens downstairs so Miso could smell it. This helped her become familiar with their presence. 🐾 Foster 2 kittens at a time. You’d probably think 1 would be easier, but in my opinion, it’s the *opposite*. The kittens entertained each other instead of trying to play with Miso.
