Being back here on 9/11 is strange. 🗽 I was a sophomore in high school in Rahway, NJ on 9/11/01. From a few spots in town, you could see the city skyline. The attacks had a profound impact on our community, including friends of mine who had parents who actually worked in the towers. For me, it actually inspired me to join my high school Marine Corps JROTC that month, which transformed my life entirely. It’s where I started to find out who I was, and it’s where I definitely found out what I was good at: speaking loudly. They selected me to be the drill team commander, and in my senior year I was ranked second in the country. People ask me about my journey to where I am now as a professional announcer who performs in front of millions of people in some of the most famous venues in the world.
