September 11, 2001: 24 years later and we will never forget
Today we honor and remember the victims & the first responders who sacrificed their lives
Here are a few commemorations happening in NYC today & memorials you can visit:
🤍 The 9/11 Memorial & Museum 911memorial 24th Anniversary Commemoration will take place at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza from 8:30am-1pm. While the plaza will not be open to the public during the ceremony, you can watch it on TV or online.
Note: the museum will be closed to the public all day and only open to family members. The Memorial will reopen to the public at 3pm
💙 The “Tribute in Light” features two blue beams of light shining up the Manhattan skyline can be viewed across the city from dusk to dawn. The Empire State Building, The Oculus, SUMMIT and other buildings will also be lighting up blue
