This morning, more than 200 residents gathered at Patriots Park to honor the lives lost 24 years ago on September 11, 2001. The ceremony included prayers, music, essays from Venice Christian School students, a powerful keynote from Ret. U.S. Army Sgt. Major Rachel Arin, and symbolic tributes from our police, fire, veterans, and community members. 🇺🇸
Patriots Park, created in 2002, stands as a lasting memorial with a steel beam from the World Trade Center and rubble from the Pentagon. We extend our gratitude to longtime organizers Gene Sweeney and Barbara Vaughn, whose dedication laid the foundation for today’s tradition.
